Story of two courageous Registered Nurses who ventured in to creating the first Independent Nursing Practice Corporation in the United States. Karon White Gibson , RN and Joy Smith Catterson RN operated Registered Professional Nurses P.C. offering the public private nurses at affordable rates. They also worked as hospital Emergency and Psychiatric Nurses. They lost their jobs even with excellent evaluations because of their "outside interest" on their own time. They took the case to Federal Court and it was settled on the court steps. They overcame business obstacles and provided Nursing Services, Home Care, Blood Draws and counseling to the poor and the wealthy. They became first aid nures to major motion pictures: Risky Business, Dr. Detroit. They made house calls and offered speeches and blood pressure readings. Their friendhsip and their association as Chicago Police wives and assistant private detectives offers an interesting read for men and women...nurses or not. It shows business development and an insight into the mystique of medicine, doctors and nurses and even the police lives. Americantvproductions.com
