... White dawn salutes tomorrow

A Texas author and poet, Martha Anne Turner's first published poetry volume (1943) is a delight. It's not all about Texas, but there is a section of hilarious vignettes concerning Yee-Haw! cowboys. More a remembrance of places visited and not visited, friends known, loved and lost, this is a kind, heartwarming volume. Her tribute to London after it had first been bombed in WWII is especially touching.
