Tadao Ando

This is the most comprehensive study to date of the work of the Japanese architect Tadao Ando, one of the leading figures of his generation. Born in Osaka in 1940, Ando has had less than a decade in which to develop his national and international reputation, starting with his Azuma Residence of 1976 to his Rokko hillside housing complex, completed in 1983.
