Evolution and the molecular revolution

This book makes available the proceedings of a symposium entitled "Evolution and the Molecular Revolution" held at the University of California, Los Angeles in October 1994. Convened by the UCLA Center for the Study of Evolution and the Origins of Life (CSEOL), the symposium presented an overview of our current understanding of the evolutionary process and demonstrated, through a selection of in-depth examples, some of the most exciting advances that molecular biology brings to the study of evolution.

This book is especially designed for first- or second-year college courses on evolution.
