The savage river

The Pinkerton supervisor told Savage that the job was not dangerous. He must find Miss Beatrice Bottomley, a schoolteacher lost in the wild west. Along the way, Savage is jailed, hunted by killers and shot twice--all because Bea was abducted by Foxy Parker's gang of gold robbers. But why is she so important to them?
