In 2016, Anne Aly was the first Australian Muslim woman, the first Egyptian-born woman and the first counter-terrorism expert to be elected to federal parliament. This is the story of how Anne and her family came to Australia, went back to Egypt, and came back to Australia where she found herself as the go-to expert on terrorism and eventually as an elected member of the Federal Australian Parliament.

It's a fascinating read and the subtitle is right - she is irrepressible - and this is a very good thing.
