Vita di Francesco Guicciardini

A magnificent description of the life and times of a politician who had part in Florentine and Italian policy in hard times in early XVI century. Guicciardini wrote then his experiences and thoughs about men and policy in several books, that enlighten his period and his philosophy. It is not a novel, but a very interesting and erudite biography written by Ridolfi, one of the best scholars of Florentine Renaissance in XX century.
